How to install the MagMod Dome GelsUpdated 8 months ago

Hey, MagMod Family! ✨

Installing Dome Gels is a breeze, but with a little technique, it feels like pure magic. Let’s dive into how to get those gels in and out like a pro!

Installing Dome Gels in the Reflector XL

  1. Get Set Up: Hold the Dome Gel and press it into the Reflector XL at a slight angle. Start by seating the top edge into the ridge—this is key!

  2. Seal the Deal: Once the top is nestled in, push and angle the Dome Gel downward. You’ll feel it click into place.

  3. Pro Tip: Avoid pushing the gel straight in. That little angle makes all the difference! If it isn’t sealing right away, give it a gentle wiggle to help it settle.

Stacking Dome Gels

Want to get creative? You can stack multiple Dome Gels! Just push them together until you hear that satisfying click. To unstack, pull them apart from the base—they’ll pop apart easily. If there’s any resistance, give the top Dome Gel a twist until you hear a click, then pull apart.

Removing Dome Gels from the Reflector XL

  1. Angle Out: To remove, pull the top of the Dome Gel outward and down at an angle. It won’t take much force—just a gentle tug!

  2. Pop It Out: Once it’s partially unsealed, it’ll pop right out. Easy peasy!

Installing Dome Gels in the MagBox Pro

  1. Align and Squeeze: Line up the Dome Gel with the MagBox Pro's gel holder slot in the center. Squeeze the edges of the Dome Gel just a bit and push it straight in.

  2. Release the Pressure: Once it’s seated, release the pressure. The Dome Gel will spin freely in its spot—cool, right?

Removing Dome Gels from the MagBox Pro

  1. Squeeze and Pull: Apply a little squeezing pressure and pull outward. The Dome Gel should pop out with minimal force.

  2. Need More Power? If it’s being stubborn, add a bit more squeezing pressure near the bottom of the Dome Gel, closest to the MagBox Pro.
