The short answer? Yes!

The MagShoe 2 is compatible with any light stand with a ¼-20 or 5/8" (16mm) stud/spigot, which are the industry standard.  It looks like this 👇

Please note: The original MagShoe, while a great product that does everything it was designed for and even a bit more, was not designed specifically with the additional mass and weight of our newer MagBox Pro softboxes in mind. In particular it is necessary to upgrade to a MagShoe 2 if you plan to use a MagBox Pro 36 Strip or the MagBox Pro 42 Octa. While the MagBox Pro 24 Octa can be used with the original MagShoe, we recommend the upgrade for the additional strength and security it offers.
